| Our baluster system with rails and newel post will meet your local building code. Since Coral Stone was founded, it has evolved from the production of traditional cast stone to become one of the world's most innovative designers and manufacturers of premium enhanced cast stone elements. Our Cast Stone is identical to those made from cut stone. In most cases with the technology we use today, it's even better. Our custom design mix is used for interior, exterior northern and southern climates. Balusters are normally separated by at least the same measurement as the size of the square bottom section. This is if there is not code requirement. Most code requirements will not allow most than a 4" max space between the widest point between the baluster. But placing balusters to far apart (to save money) does not have the same appeal. Balustrades terminate in columns, building walls or more properly in newel posts. Otherwise, balustrades have no structure and can fail. We will design your rail system with structure to meet your local building code.
